I recently looked back at those scenes because I was pre-nominated [for an Emmy], and I couldn't use any of the cancer stuff because I was orange. And it was weird, because at the time I was shooting it, I didn't think I looked that bad!" (SID 4/7/08)

Bree on Jessica and Motherhood

(on the difference between playing the pregnancy as Tess or Jessica) "Whenever Jess was out, her hands were all over her belly and she was very aware of her belly. ... You know, some women when they're pregnant, carry it like a purse, and some carry it like they're actually carrying a baby. So, Jessica was the latter." (SOD 5/30/06)

(on playing Jessica as a mother) "Not only do I not have kids, I'm also the youngest woman in my family, so I don't hold babies, I've never changed a diaper, so it was really funny that everybody assumed that if they threw this pretty much newborn baby in my lap, I would figure it out! Because Jessica was a new mother, it kind of worked, but if the child's nanny or the child's mom was on set, I would be like, 'How do I hold her? What do I do?'" (SOD 5/15/07)

(on Jessica's pregnancy in 2008) "I can't wait to have kids, and the storyline makes it worse. I was telling Kimberly McCullough [Robin], who's playing pregnant on General Hospital, 'They're going to hand you one of those nuggets at work to hold and play with all day when you're acting and you're going to freak out! (on Jessica's reluctance to reunite with Antonio after the Santi storyline) "[Antonio] made her feel awful, like a child. Even before he walked out on her, he just made her feel not important enough to have in his life." (SOD 1/18/05)

(on whether or not Jessica and Antonio can reunite during the DID storyline) "It's a very tumultuous time for [them]. It isn't going to heal overnight. You're going to see a different side of Jessica. Who knows where it's going?" (SOD 2/8/05)

(on whether or not Jessica rushed into marriage with Antonio) "Yes, and Antonio rushed, too. There's definitely some reason why he proposed and was like, 'We want to get married as soon as possible. Like now.'" (SOD 11/21/06)

(on the Jessica and Antonio break-up) "The first person I worked with on the show when I was hired was Kamar [de los Reyes (Antonio)]. They had this relationship planned from the beginning, and now it's over. That was sad and disappointing, but Robert [Montano, temporary Antonio] was really, really good, and the scenes were good." There are circumstances, and then there's who Jessica is as a person. She broke up with Antonio. That was horrible. There's no easy way to get a divorce and break up with somebody. You have to do it as soon as you know you don't want to be with the person anymore, and Jessica dragged her feet on that. I'm not trying to excuse these things, but she's human." (SOW 9/18/07)

(on whether or not Jessica should try to make things right with Antonio) "There's no good way to handle that. I don't think there's anything Jessica could do right now to be nice. The only thing she could do is leave town and they're not going to do that, obviously. The other nice thing she could do is be as miserable as he is, but I don't think he's that miserable. (on Kamar de los Reyes's [Antonio] absence during the filming of Jessica and Antonio's break-up scenes) "The most disappointing thing about that story was that Kamar couldn't play the big break-up scene. "I like to see Natalie and Jessica getting along. I like the idea of a strong female relationship -- not a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, but one that is just as interesting to watch." (SID 5/21/05)
