Who are you?
My name is Ali (my screenname on various OLTL boards is colormist). I started Esprit Libre when I was still in college, and I keep it up now in my spare time.

When did you first open this site?
February 9, 2006.

Why is it named "Esprit Libre"?
When Nash and Tess were living on their vineyard in Napa Valley, Nash was faced with coming up with a name for his wine label. He met with a label designer and insisted that he wanted the label to be a tribute to Tess, his "muse." He described Tess to the label designer as being a "free spirit" and that's when he realized that "Esprit Libre" (French for "free spirit") would be the perfect name.

How often do you update the site?
It varies depending on how busy I am in "real life."

Where do the pictures in the gallery come from?
The scans or media pictures in the gallery were all either scanned by me or saved from general soap sites such as ABC.com or SoapOperaWeekly.com. I do not take pictures from fansites. All screencaps were capped by me.

Why do you only have certain episodes screencapped?
Unfortunately, I don't have the time or the web space to screencap every single Jash scene, so I have to pick and choose which scenes get capped.

Can I use pictures in the gallery for fan art?
Sure! You don't even have to ask, just go ahead and use them!

Can I use pictures in the gallery for my own website?
Sure, just please credit Esprit Libre as your original source.

Where do you get the transcripts and quotes from?
Pretty much everything is from the TV Megasite.

Can I use some of the transcripts and quotes for my own site?
Sure, just make sure you credit the TV Megasite as the original source for the dialogue.

Where do you get the articles and quotes in the Press section from?
Nearly all of the articles are typed up by me, from old issues of soap opera magazines. A few were copied and pasted from online sites like SoapOperaDigest.com or TVGuide.com.

Can I use some of the articles in the Press section from my own site?
Sure, just credit Esprit Libre as your source. (Unless it says that the article came from TVGuide.com, SoapNet.com or SoapOperaDigest.com -- in that case, credit those websites, not me).

Can I link to your site from my site?
Yes, of course! You don't even have to ask! You can find buttons to link back by clicking here, and please do e-mail me if you're planning to link here, so I can link back to your site as well.

Would you like to be affiliates?
